| | Grayscale Display Systems for diagnostic reporting – NEC MD Series
NEC MD Grayscale displays are primarily recommended for use on reporting workstations within a PACS environment. Traditionally used in radiology, the scope for use has been expanded to incorporate other reporting areas such as A&E major, clinics, orthopaedics and ICU’s.
Where a high level of detail and accuracy is required to be viewed, such as traditionally viewed using imaging plates or solid state detectors, the very high brightness, uniformity, contrast, and self-calibrating features of the MD Series ensure the highest level of image quality is obtainable. Additionally the MD21GS-2MP and MD21GS-3MP products incorporate X-Light® technology, that automatically maintains the stability of the white point for the usable life of the display, counteracting the natural ageing of the product.
X-Ligh® significantly reduces the overall life time costs of your investment by allowing in-field matching of Grayscale characteristics and therefore image reproduction between displays, a feature unique to the NEC MD 2 and 3 MP products. The days of returning a pair of displays when one fails, are now history.
NEC MD series products are available as 2 MP (21,3 inch), 3 MP (21.3 inch) or 5 MP (20.1 inch) Grayscale LCD display systems, and are paired with a suitable graphics controller. The new NEC MD205MG 5 MP Grayscale display offers excellent image quality for the most demanding diagnostic application in mammography.
